Racó de s’Arena, or Es Racó de s’Arena, is a pristine beach near s’Estanyol de Migjorn, in the municipality of Llucmajor, south of Mallorca. It forms the natural mouth of the Garonda stream and is situated between the coast and the Bassal de Garonda. On-site, it is noted that it is often covered by a thick layer of posidonia, which can hinder access to the sea, with varied bottoms of sand, stones, and algae. Its width varies up to about 80 m and its length reaches about 120 m; the islet of s’Estanyol is located opposite. For today, choose this spot if this natural setting suits you, and especially check the state of the posidonia and access to the water.
Racó de s’Arena is not described as a simple beach for swimming: the posidonia can limit access to the sea. Its interest lies in its setting in Llucmajor, near Garonda and facing the islet of s’Estanyol. Check the condition of the shore.
