Keykubat Beach extends along the Turkish Mediterranean coast, in the Central Mediterranean region (TR-MED), near Alanya. This stretch of coastline is part of the coastal arc characterized by limestone cliffs and sandy coves alternating between developed urban areas and quieter spaces. The Mediterranean here features crystal-clear, temperate waters, typical of this southern latitude, with a gentle slope towards the open sea. The beach itself is distinguished by its fine, golden sand, offering a pleasant surface underfoot. Located 0.8 km from People's Beach and 1 km from № 14 (Big Blue Sky), it occupies an intermediate position in this string of coastal beaches. Unlike its immediate neighbors which attract denser tourist flows, Keykubat maintains a less saturated atmosphere while remaining easily accessible. The shore opens widely to the sea, without major natural obstacles, allowing for direct and uncomplicated swimming. Access for people in wheelchairs is provided, which is a practical advantage for visitors with reduced mobility. No official supervision is provided on site, and the beach does not have the Blue Flag label. Facilities such as toilets, showers, or restaurants are not documented in the available data, inviting visitors to prepare accordingly or to turn to the facilities of adjacent beaches.
Keykubat is named after Keykubat I, Sultan of the Sultanate of Rum in the 13th century, who made Alanya a major coastal fortress. This region, once a crossroads of Mediterranean trade routes between Anatolia and the Levant, retains the imprint of several civilizations. The red cliffs framing this sector of the coastline are composed of conglomerates and ferruginous limestones, evidence of millions of years of marine sedimentation. Today, Keykubat Beach remains a neighborhood beach for local residents, far from the mass tourism that focuses its efforts on Alanya's heritage sites a few kilometers to the east.
