Kleopatra plajı

Kleopatra plajı 10 extends along the Turkish Mediterranean coast, just a few hundred meters from the famous Kleopatra Plajı in the Alanya region, in the Eastern Mediterranean. This portion of the Antalya coastline is characterized by a succession of small coves and fine sand beaches, framed by limestone cliffs that plunge directly into the turquoise waters. Alanya Bay, protected by the rocky promontory of the medieval castle, offers generally calm conditions and remarkable visibility. This coastal segment constitutes a natural extension of Alanya's beach offerings, located just 0.3 km from the main beach of the same name and 2.6 km from Anjeliq Beach. The coastline here has a golden sand profile, typical of Turkish Mediterranean beaches, with direct access from the coastal roads that run along the urban area. The atmosphere remains that of an established coastal resort, where tourism and local life coexist without excessive pretension. The site has no surveillance tower and is not Blue Flag certified. Accessibility for people with reduced mobility is not guaranteed. Visitors will find immediate proximity to Alanya Aquapark (0.6 km) and the tourist facilities concentrated around Alanya city center, which remains the main reference point for all services (restaurants, accommodation, shops).

About this spot

Kleopatra plajı is named after the Egyptian queen Cleopatra VII, who is said to have stayed in Alanya in the 1st century BC during her affair with Mark Antony. Local legend has it that the queen particularly enjoyed this coast, which motivated the choice of surname for the region's main beaches. Geologically, the cliffs overlooking this area belong to the coastal Taurus mountain range, formed during the collision between the African and Eurasian plates. Today, this beach remains a passage point between Alanya's tourist routes and more adventurous explorations of the Turkish Mediterranean coast, frequented by both passing visitors and local residents seeking a less crowded alternative to the main beach.
