About this spot
“Plage de la Falaise”（悬崖海滩）这个名字直接让人联想到其地质特征：日内瓦湖这一段的石灰岩悬崖是冰川后侵蚀的产物，大约在 12,000 年前就已显现。该地区历史上与沃州和日内瓦州有关，直到 19 世纪，高地一直被用于集约化农业，之后湖滨旅游业重新塑造了海岸的使用方式。根据普罗门托克斯当地居民的说法，该地点在 18 世纪曾被用作走私者的秘密补给点，他们利用偏僻的海湾穿越萨瓦和瑞士之间的边界。如今，这种秘密的历史与该地点的宁静形成了鲜明对比。
