Ixia Beach

About this spot
伊克西亚（Ixia）这个名字源自希腊语Ἰξία，意为“粘性”，指的是过去曾生长在这片岩石海岸上的粘性植物。这个海滩属于土耳其十二群岛的地理区域，直到1923年《洛桑条约》将这些岛屿划归土耳其，这里一直是希腊和土耳其争夺的地区。构成海岸线的鹅卵石来自爱琴海石灰岩地层数千年的侵蚀，这一过程自古以来就塑造了景观。根据当地的说法，该地区的渔民过去曾使用这些光滑的鹅卵石作为船只的天然压载物，直到现代金属锚的出现。
