West Green Lake Beach

About this spot
格林湖（Green Lake）的英文名称源于19世纪的探矿者，他们注意到了湖水翠绿的色调，该湖长期以来一直是西雅图的淡水库，后来成为市政娱乐场所。西岸区域的开发密度低于东岸，因此保留了更为低调的特色。1917年，西雅图市政府进行了部分湖泊填埋工程，以创造可开发土地，永久改变了湖泊的地貌。如今，西格林湖海滩仍然是沃林福德社区游泳者的一个据点，他们在这里延续着太平洋西北地区水上文化中根深蒂固的夏季传统。
