About this spot
Genthod，自中古时代以来就是日内瓦湖南岸的一个公社，其名称来源于当地领主 Genthod 家族。Le Creux-de-Genthod 指的是海岸线上一个小的地形凹陷，这是日内瓦湖后冰川地貌的特征。该地区长期以来一直是渔民和水手的登陆点，直到 20 世纪才成为日内瓦人的休闲场所。上个世纪初的严冬经常导致湖面结冰，允许步行穿越——尽管这一习俗已经消失，但仍然存在于当地的集体记忆中。
