Praia do Azibo is a river beach of sand located on the banks of Barragem do Azibo, about 40 km from Bragança. It is also referred to as Praia Fluvial do Azibo and Praia da Ribeira. Therefore, it should primarily be considered as a freshwater swimming point related to the Azibo dam. For today's choice, the most concrete information is its river nature and its inland Portuguese setting, far from an ocean beach. Praia Fluvial da Fraga da Pegada, at 0.8 km, is the immediate alternative in the same area. The format is therefore more lacustrine than maritime, with a very close direct neighbor.
Azibo is useful to identify if you are looking for a freshwater beach near Bragança, with sand and a dam setting. It is better to base your choice on the location and the proximity of Fraga da Pegada rather than on unconfirmed services.
