It is located near the Mataleñas Park and the Municipal Golf Course of Mataleñas, which provides a clear landmark for locating it in the northern part of Santander. It is not alone in this area: Playa de Mataleñas is found at 0.4 km, Segunda Playa de El Sardinero at 0.7 km, and Primera Playa de El Sardinero at 1.2 km.
