Spiaggia di Capocotta occupies a sandy stretch of the Roman coastline, on the Mediterranean, between Castel Porziano and Torvaianica. The area is located in Municipio X of Rome and extends, according to the given markers, between kilometers 7.6 and 10.1 of the via Litoranea. Capocotta covers about 45 hectares and has been part of the State Nature Reserve of Litorale Romano since 1996. It is one of the best-preserved dune sections in Italy. Access is indicated as open, the surface is sandy, and wheelchair accessibility is noted as absent. The immediate surroundings offer other options, such as Spiaggia di Tor Paterno at 1.6 km or several beaches of Capocotta around 4 to 5 km.
This is a beach to consider for its natural interest as well as for swimming: dunes, large coastal area, and proximity to Rome structure the experience. Make sure to check that the level of accessibility meets your needs, as wheelchair access is noted as absent.
