Praia do Peneco is a sandy beach in Albufeira, on the southern Atlantic coast of the Algarve. It is marked as supervised. The same area is also known as Praia do Túnel, and the excerpt specifies that Peneco is one of the two beaches lining the city's waterfront, with Praia dos Pescadores to the east. The location should thus be understood as a beach directly linked to the center of Albufeira, rather than a distant detour. The coordinates place it in the coastal heart of the city; the other beaches listed in this batch are farther away, such as Praia da Ponta Pequena at 3.1 km or Praia da Fraternidade at 4.1 km.
Peneco is a central choice in Albufeira, with sand and indicated supervision. Its other name, Praia do Túnel, helps to recognize the area; the main interest is the direct relationship with the city's waterfront.
