El Espartal Beach is a sandy beach in Castrillón, Asturias, located at approximately 43.58429, -5.95359. Access is indicated as permitted. The Salinas, L'Espartal, and San Xuan area forms a sandy arc of over three and a half kilometers to the west of the Avilés estuary. The dunes sometimes reach over 15 meters and extend up to a kilometer inland, restrained by the marshes of the río Raíces. This setting provides an open beach linked to a dune landscape, but the details of services are not confirmed here. Nearby alternatives include Playa del Cuerno, Playa de Arnao, Playa de San Balandrán, and Playa de Xagó. Sand predominates the site reading.
El Espartal will interest those looking for a large sandy Asturian environment with dunes. Before settling here, compare with Arnao or Xagó if the wind or day's exposure makes the long beach arc less comfortable.
