Badviken Hällsvik is located on the west coast of Sweden, in Bohuslän, Västra Götaland region, characterized by a rocky and indented coastline. The site occupies a central position in an archipelago of islands and skerries typical of this granite coast, near other swimming areas scattered over a few kilometers: SE-S Swimming at 1.9 km and several named beaches at 2.1, 2.2, and 2.4 km. This part of the Swedish coastline alternates between smooth cliffs, small sheltered coves, and glacial-polished rock outcrops, forming a remarkable geological landscape where the cold waters of the North Sea meet Precambrian formations. The site consists of natural rocks and small rocky areas, typical of Bohuslän. Unlike the more accessible sandy beaches of neighboring coastal regions, Badviken Hällsvik offers a rawer experience, where entering the water is gradual from the granite slabs.
