Playa de Cuchía, also called Playa de Marzán, is a sandy beach in Miengo, Cantabria, about one kilometer from the locality of Cuchía. It lies on the right bank of the ria, near its mouth. Access is listed as permitted and lifeguard cover as absent. The Spanish context describes a golden-sand beach with access ramps for people with disabilities, a seafront promenade, showers, telephones, parking with adapted spaces and a watch post. Since the neighboring name Cuchía beach differs from the local name, it is prudent to retain mainly the reference points directly tied to the beach. La Playuca, Playa del Huevo frito and Playa de la Ribera are less than 0.5 km away.
Cuchía is a Cantabrian sandy beach surrounded closely by other small beaches. The useful reference points are its position in Miengo, near the ria, its listed access and the absence of lifeguards in the main reference points, despite facilities mentioned in the local context.
