키호라는 이름은 19세기에 소노마 카운티에 정착한 개척자 가족들로부터 유래했습니다. 3기 지질 형성이 특징인 이 지역은 오랫동안 지역 해양 및 산림 자원에 대한 접근이 어려운 지역으로 사용되었습니다. 오늘날 키호 비치는 도시 개발이 없고 태평양의 야생적인 조건으로 인해 해안 하이커와 해양 동물 관찰자들에게 인기가 있는 한적한 장소로 남아 있습니다.
