프라이아 데 마달레나 노르테는 포르투갈 북부 해안, 가이아 지역에 있으며 포르투 남쪽 약 8km 지점에 펼쳐져 있습니다. 이 고운 모래 해변은 북부 포르투갈 해안선의 특징인 서쪽 파도에 노출된 대서양을 따라 있습니다. 낮은 절벽과 드문드문한 암석 지형이 지배적인 해안선은 이 해안선의 일부를 단절시키는 만과 작은 해변들의 연속으로 이루어져 있습니다. 해변 뒤쪽은 개발이 덜 되어 있어 이 지역의 전형적인 해안 특성을 유지하고 있습니다. 해변 자체는 남쪽 이웃인 프라이아 데 마달레나 술에서 불과 400m 떨어져 있어 접근성이 좋은 모래밭으로 이루어져 있습니다. 바로 근처에 있는 프라이아 카니델로 노르테(1.7km)와 프라이아 데 발라다레스(1.9km)는 비슷한 대안을 제공하며, 프라이아 두나스 마르(2.3km)는 약간 다른 특징을 보입니다. 도착하자마자 방문객은 대서양 해안의 분위기를 발견하게 됩니다. 회황색 모래, 바닷바람, 수영이나 수상 스포츠를 유혹하는 규칙적인 파도가 있습니다. 대규모 구조물이 없다는 점은 어느 정도의 프라이버시를 유지하지만, 포르투에서의 접근성 때문에 주말에는 붐빕니다. 이곳에는 감시 서비스가 제공되지 않습니다. 해변은 블루 플래그 인증을 받지 못했습니다. 휠체어 접근 시설이 없습니다. 방문객은 이 지역의 덜 상업화된 해안 지역의 전반적인 철학에 맞는 장비와 보급품을 미리 준비해야 합니다.
About this spot
포르투갈 가톨릭 전통에서 성녀 마리아 막달레나를 연상시키는 '마달레나'라는 이름은 중세부터 설립된 해안 마을들의 연속을 나타냅니다. 마달레나 노르테와 마달레나 술의 구분은 지역 행정 조직과 두 개의 별도 경로를 통한 역사적 접근을 반영합니다. 이 해변은 북부 포르투갈의 대서양 지질에 속하며, 침식으로 인해 화강암과 편암 지형에 만과 만이 점차적으로 형성되었습니다. 과거에는 주로 지역 어부들이 이용했지만, 오늘날에도 특히 썰물 때 전통적인 보트들의 정박지로 남아 있습니다.
