About this spot
'아굴라스'라는 이름은 얕은 물에 솟아 있는 날카로운 바위 지형, 즉 수세기 동안 갈리시아 선원들에게 알려진 화강암 바늘을 가리킵니다. 헤르시니아 화강암에 의해 형성된 이 해안 지역은 오랫동안 아로사 강 하구를 항해하는 어부들에게 랜드마크 역할을 했습니다. 중세부터 주변 해안 마을들은 고래잡이와 해상 무역으로 생계를 유지했습니다. 오늘날 프라이아 다스 아굴라스는 관광객보다는 현지인들이 더 많이 찾는 이 조용한 해상 역사의 반영으로 남아 있습니다.
