칼라 데스 코시스는 발렌시아 공동체의 카스텔론 중앙 해안에 있으며, 카스텔론 데 라 플라나에서 북쪽으로 약 40km 떨어져 있습니다. 이 지중해 해안선은 에브로 삼각주와 북쪽 절벽 사이의 해안 구간의 전형적인 암석 지형과 충적 퇴적물이 번갈아 나타나는 작은 만과 해변의 연속이 특징입니다. 내륙은 소나무 숲과 내륙 농지가 지배하는 개발이 거의 이루어지지 않았습니다. 이 만은 자갈로 덮여 있어 수영에 독특한 질감을 제공하고 보행 시 주의를 요합니다. 발렌시아 해안의 낮은 석회암 지형에 자리 잡고 있으며, 만의 집합체 내에서 중간적인 프로필을 차지합니다. 남쪽으로 1.1km 떨어진 칼라 델 살도나르와 1.4km 떨어진 플라야 델 포르티, 1.5km 떨어진 플라야 데 라 바르비게라가 같은 방향으로 뻗어 있습니다. 공식적인 감독 부재와 시설에 대한 제한된 접근은 카스텔론에 더 가까운 해안 지역의 개발된 해변과 비교하여 방문객 수가 적은 이 지역을 특징짓습니다. 현장에는 환영 서비스가 없습니다. 블루 플래그 인증 부재는 표준화된 시설 부재를 반영합니다. 이동이 불편한 사람들을 위한 접근 시설이 없습니다. 수영은 개인의 책임하에 이루어지며, 인명 구조원이 없습니다.
About this spot
칼라 데스 코시스는 과거 이 해안을 따라 흩어져 있던 작은 어부들의 오두막을 의미하는 카탈루냐어 'cossi'에서 이름을 따왔습니다. 투리아와 에브로 강의 퇴적물 공급으로 형성된 발렌시아 해안은 관광이 번성하기 전에 오랫동안 연안 보트의 피난처 역할을 했습니다. 이 만은 겨울 폭풍으로 운반된 자갈이 해안선을 계속해서 재구성하는 전통적인 해양 생활의 유물로 남아 있으며, 해안선의 자연적 불안정성을 상기시킵니다.
