Schooner Gulch State Beach

About this spot
'슈너 걸치'라는 이름은 과거 이 거친 해안의 작은 자연 항구에 정박하여 19세기 이 지역의 삼나무 목재를 채굴했던 스쿠너(schooners)를 연상시킵니다. 불안정한 제3기 퇴적물이 지배적인 지역 지질은 끊임없는 침식과 산사태를 설명하며, 이는 끊임없이 풍경을 형성합니다. 캘리포니아의 주요 벌목 중심지였던 멘도시노 지역은 점차 관광과 와인 생산으로 전환되었습니다. 슈너 걸치는 볼링 볼 비치와 가까움에도 불구하고 대중적인 관광 경로에서 거의 무시된 채 이러한 전환을 구현하며, 이곳은 거대한 바위 공으로 유명해졌습니다.
