쿰바바 해변은 터키 북부 종굴다크 지역의 흑해 연안에 펼쳐져 있으며, 이스탄불에서 동쪽으로 약 200km 떨어져 있습니다. 이곳의 해안선은 울창한 숲으로 뒤덮인 절벽이 물속으로 직접 떨어지는 작은 만과 자갈 해변이 연속적으로 나타나는 것이 특징입니다. 지중해보다 덜 거칠지만 종종 흐리고 예측 불가능한 흑해는 지중해 식생이 소나무와 밤나무 숲으로 바뀌는 삭막한 해안 풍경을 만들어냅니다. 해변 자체는 이 해안 지역에 흩어져 있는 작은 해안가들로 이루어져 있습니다. 북쪽으로 300미터 떨어진 곳에 또 다른 작은 해변이 있으며, 더 잘 알려진 아야즈마 해변은 서쪽으로 2km 떨어져 있습니다. 남부 관광 지역의 넓고 잘 정비된 해변과 달리, 쿰바바 해변은 소박하고 덜 붐비는 특성을 유지하고 있습니다. 해안 도로를 따라 구불구불한 길을 통해 접근할 수 있으며, 공식적인 기반 시설이나 감시 없이 운영됩니다. 블루 플래그 인증이나 인명 구조대원의 부재는 이러한 최소한의 접근 방식을 반영합니다. 주차장, 샤워 시설, 식당 시설이 없습니다. 이동이 불편한 분들을 위한 접근성은 보장되지 않습니다. 입장료는 무료이며, 개에 대한 제한 사항은 없습니다. 이 해변은 인공적인 요소가 없는 해안 경험을 추구하는 방문객에게 적합합니다.
About this spot
쿰바바라는 이름은 고대 터키어로 지형이나 요새를 의미하는 단어에서 유래했습니다. 종굴다크 해안은 역사적으로 광업(특히 석탄)으로 유명했으며, 에게 해나 지중해 연안의 대규모 관광 개발은 이루어지지 않았습니다. 쿰바바 해변은 지역 주민과 어부들의 해변으로 남아 있으며, 해안 생활은 관광 달력보다는 계절의 리듬을 따릅니다. 흑해의 겨울 폭풍은 매우 거칠어 때로는 해안을 자갈이 뒤섞이고 하얀 거품이 이는 풍경으로 변모시킵니다.
