Secline Beach
シーラインビーチは、シエラネバダ山脈にあるタホ湖の北岸に広がり、カリフォルニアとネバダの州境に位置しています。キングスビーチの西約0.4kmに位置するこの海岸線は、北米最大の高山湖の191kmの海岸線に沿って続くビーチ群の一部です。標高1,897メートルに位置するこの湖は、その卓越した透明度で知られる澄み切った水を湛え、岩と緑豊かな岸辺が特徴的な山岳風景を作り出しています。
About this spot
ワショー族の言葉で「大きな湖」を意味するタホ湖は、約200万年前に地溝帯の陥没によって形成されました。キングスビーチとシーラインビーチが数百メートルの間隔で点在する北岸は、湖で最も開発が進んだ地域であり、20世紀を通じて主要な観光地へと変貌しました。これら2つのビーチが0.5km未満の間隔で近接していることは、小さな入り江が地域のレクリエーションインフラに徐々に組み込まれていったこの地域の都市開発の歴史を反映しています。
