Yeniçiftlik Beach stretches along the coast of the Sea of Marmara, in the Bithynia region (TR-BLK), approximately 1.1 km east of Atatürk Parkı Beach. Located on the northern shore of this inland sea connecting Europe to Asia Minor, the beach is part of a succession of small shores dotting this relatively urbanized coastline. The Marmara, less agitated than the Mediterranean, generally offers calm waters, especially in summer, with marked seasonal temperature variations. The beach is distinguished by its local and informal character. In the immediate vicinity, Atatürk Parkı Beach (1.1 km) offers a more structured atmosphere with its public amenities, while Dallas Beach (8.3 km) and Plage TR-BLK (4.6 km) represent other variants of the regional coastline. Yeniçiftlik Beach retains a more discreet appearance, without tourist overload, where local residents swim in simplicity. The shore has moderate attendance, particularly during the peak summer season. The beach has no official supervision or Blue Flag status. No major infrastructure (toilets, showers, parking, restaurants) is documented on site. Access is not arranged for people with reduced mobility. This absence of standardized tourist facilities reflects the beach's status: a proximity swimming spot rather than an equipped seaside destination.
About this spot
The name Yeniçiftlik literally means 'new farm' in Turkish, evoking the agricultural history of this Bithynian coastal region. This area, formerly a rural estate, gradually saw the emergence of beaches accessible to residents of neighboring localities. The Sea of Marmara, though less famous than the Turkish Aegean or Mediterranean shores, holds major historical significance: it was the heart of the Ottoman Empire and remains a strategic passage. The beaches bordering it, like Yeniçiftlik, retain this atmosphere of daily relaxation, far from standardized tourist routes, where bathers come to enjoy the calm water without the massive infrastructure of seaside resorts.
