Zimba Beach extends along the Algerian Mediterranean coast, near the wilaya of Oran, in the northwest of the country. Located at approximately 35.5°N and 1.2°W, it borders a stretch of coastline characterized by alternating coves and open beaches, where the Mediterranean displays its temperate waters against the limestone cliffs framing the shore. The area, sparsely urbanized, retains the wild character of the Oran coasts, far from massive seaside developments. This beach is distinguished by its relative isolation within a string of small coastal shores. 1.8 km to the east is Plage DZ, while Plage de Sassel extends 2.9 km in the same direction, offering nearby but distinct alternatives. Zimba remains a sparsely frequented area, where fine sand gradually gives way to rocky zones depending on the tides. The absence of formal tourist structures makes it a raw bathing spot, appreciated by visitors seeking an unpublicized coastal experience. No specialized facilities are reported. The beach has neither supervision, nor Blue Flag status, nor accessibility facilities. Visitors must plan for an independent visit, without relying on basic on-site services. Access remains free and unrestricted.
