'팔랑카'라는 이름은 스페인어로 지렛대나 지지점을 의미하며, 이는 지역 지질 형성이나 이 지중해 해안의 옛 항구 용도를 가리킬 수 있습니다. 오랫동안 관개 농업과 연안 어업이 지배했던 이 발렌시아 지역은 20세기 관광 팽창에도 불구하고 거의 변형되지 않은 해안 지역을 보존해 왔습니다. 팔랑카는 주민들이 대규모 해변 리조트에서 벗어나 수영을 계속하는 이러한 공간에 속하며, 지중해와의 직접적이고 중개되지 않은 관계를 영속시킵니다.
