About this spot
페리스 호수는 19세기 말 지역 철도 개발에 기여한 철도 엔지니어 프레드 T. 페리스(Fred T. Perris)를 기리기 위해 명명된 이웃 도시 페리스의 이름을 따서 명명되었습니다. 1973년 캘리포니아 주 수자원 프로젝트의 일환으로 완공된 이 저수지는 사막 지역을 수상 레크리에이션 구역으로 변화시켰습니다. 모레노 해변은 이 내륙 호수에 대한 공공 접근 지점 중 하나를 나타내며, 태평양의 혼잡한 해안에서 멀리 떨어진 대륙 지역의 수영 대중화를 위한 캘리포니아의 전략을 반영합니다.
