볼라이르 해변 2는 터키 트라키아 북부 해안, 마르마라 해에 위치하며 테키르다그 지역에 속합니다. 볼라이르 해변에서 약 2.2km, 귄네일리 해변에서 8.2km 떨어진 이곳은 다르다넬스 해협 연안을 따라 이어지는 해변 중 하나입니다. 이곳의 해안 풍경은 비교적 잘 보존되어 있으며, 농업 및 삼림 지대가 마르마라 내해의 특징인 잔잔한 수면으로 점차 이어집니다. 이 해변은 수심이 얕고 온화한 물에 직접 접근할 수 있어 여름 수영에 이상적입니다. 바로 근처에 있는 볼라이르 해변과 달리 이곳은 덜 붐비며 좀 더 외진 분위기를 유지합니다. 해안은 마르마라 해변의 특징인 고운 모래와 자갈 지역이 혼합되어 있으며, 바다 쪽으로 완만한 경사를 이룹니다. 이곳은 번잡한 관광 시설 없이 터키의 진정한 해안 해변의 분위기를 유지하며, 더운 달에는 현지 방문객들이 수영을 즐깁니다. 이곳에는 감시 시설이 없으며 접근은 자유롭고 감독되지 않습니다. 해안 시설은 이 해변이 개발된 관광지가 아닌 자연적인 수영 장소로서의 지위를 반영하여 최소한으로 유지됩니다. 블루 플래그 인증이 없다는 것은 이러한 방향성을 확인시켜 줍니다.

볼라이르, 트라키아의 작은 해안 마을은 고대 그리스어 'Bolé'(던지다, 발사하다)에서 유래했으며, 이는 한때 다르다넬스 해협을 통제했던 군사 요새를 의미합니다. 유럽과 아시아의 전략적 교차로인 이 지역은 그리스, 로마, 비잔틴, 오스만 제국 등 여러 시대의 지배를 받았습니다. 볼라이르 해변은 이러한 역사적 층위를 간직하고 있습니다. 고대 도자기 조각들이 얕은 바다에서 자주 발견됩니다. 2015년 해안 발굴 조사에서 고고학자들은 2세기 로마 항구 유적을 발견했으며, 이 해안이 단순한 휴식 장소가 아니라 지중해 무역의 중요한 축이었음을 상기시켜 줍니다.
