Praia da Marinha da Noeirinha stretches along the central coast of Portugal, near the Ria d'Aveiro, this lagoon system characteristic of the Portuguese Atlantic coast located about 70 km north of Covilhã. The area is distinguished by its shallow waters and vast tidal expanses, typical of estuarine zones where the Atlantic Ocean meets river systems. The surrounding coastal landscape features the characteristic alternation between fine sandy beaches and wetlands, with direct exposure to Atlantic swells tempered by the natural protection afforded by the lagoon's configuration. This beach shares its characteristics with adjacent coastal formations: Marinha da Noeirinha (0.1 km away) and Praias da Ria (0.5 km away), which together form a little-frequented swimming continuum. The site is distinguished by its direct access to the lagoon waters, offering a swimming experience contrasted with the more exposed ocean beaches of the region. The terrain remains flat and gradual, typical of deltaic environments, where the transition between land and water occurs gradually, creating particularly accessible swimming conditions for swimmers of all levels.
