La Luna-Royale Beach stretches along the western Costa del Sol in southern Andalusia, near Marbella and about 50 kilometers southwest of Málaga. This section of the Mediterranean coastline is characterized by a succession of coves and south-facing beaches, where the Sierra Blanca mountains gradually descend into turquoise waters. The shoreline, dominated by intermittent rock formations, alternates between sandy stretches and limestone outcrops typical of this coast. Nestled against a fragmented coastal landscape, La Luna-Royale occupies a mid-position in a string of heavily frequented beaches. Just 1 kilometer away are the two sections of Playa de Calahonda, while Playa de Cabopino is only 1.6 kilometers distant. Unlike these often crowded neighbors during the high season, this beach retains a less developed character, offering a more direct experience of the Andalusian coastline. The fine, golden sand sometimes gives way to smooth pebbles near the rock formations, creating microhabitats conducive to exploring the shallow seabed. No major infrastructure is reported on site: there is no dedicated parking, no public showers or toilets, and the beach lacks lifeguard services and Blue Flag certification. Access remains free but without facilities for people with reduced mobility.
