La Caletta stretches along the Tyrrhenian coast of Campania, in the province of Caserta, a few kilometers south of the Bay of Naples. This portion of the Campanian coastline, characterized by a succession of small inlets and coves, is part of a coastal landscape where fine sandy beaches alternate with rocky formations. The hinterland, dominated by the foothills of the Apennines, gives this region a marked relief and visual perspectives that extend towards the sea horizon. Nestled against a dense urban fabric, La Caletta occupies an interstitial position between La Marina di Cala Feola (0.6 km) and Spiaggia Aurora (0.6 km), two beaches that structure the local coastal string. The general atmosphere remains that of a neighborhood beach, frequented by a residual rather than tourist clientele. The site benefits from no official supervision and does not bear the Blue Flag label, making it a space where the swimmer's autonomy takes precedence over institutional support. Access is not adapted for people with reduced mobility. The sector is part of a coastal logic where facilities remain limited. No major infrastructure—toilets, showers, parking—is documented on site. This infrastructural sobriety gives La Caletta a character far removed from standardized seaside standards, in line with the reality of small Campanian beaches that survive on the fringes of major regional tourist routes.
