Located on the east coast of Rhodes, in the Southern Aegean, this beach occupies a rocky ledge in Faliraki Bay, about 15 kilometers south of Rhodes town. The surrounding coastline alternates between limestone coves and wooded slopes that plunge directly into the Aegean Sea, forming a typical Mediterranean landscape of the Dodecanese. The water, crystal clear blue, benefits from a southwest exposure, making it a sheltered site even during northerly winds. The beach is distinguished by its fine pebble and gravel covering, contrasting with the sandy expanses of Ladiko Beach just 400 meters to the north. Unlike its immediate neighbors—Faliraki Traounou 1.7 kilometers away and Faliraki A 1.9 kilometers away, all three more frequented and equipped—this site retains a more discreet character. Access is via a rocky path descending between umbrella pines, gradually revealing a small cove with shallow waters near the shore, then deepening rapidly. The rock formations framing the beach offer natural shade and snorkeling opportunities. No fixed facilities are present on site. Bathing takes place without supervision. Access is not adapted for people with reduced mobility due to the uneven terrain and lack of paved paths.
The name Anthony Quinn Beach pays tribute to the Irish-American actor who filmed several movies in the Mediterranean and regularly stayed in Rhodes in the 1960s and 1970s. Although his exact presence on this specific cove is difficult to document, the name reflects the tourist appeal of Rhodes to filmmakers and celebrities of the time, particularly after the success of Hollywood productions filmed in the Dodecanese archipelago. The beach remains a local landmark for visitors seeking to escape the Faliraki resorts, while remaining easily accessible from the main coastal road.
