Marina State Beach stretches along the central Californian coast, about 9 kilometers south of Monterey, in Monterey Bay. Monterey State Beach, 9.4 kilometers to the north, is the main seaside attraction in the region and offers more developed infrastructure. Marina State Beach is suitable for visitors seeking an unpretentious coastal experience, where tranquility prevails over standardized tourist amenities.
