Aksu Belediyesi Halk Plajı

Aksu Belediyesi Halk Plajı stretches along the Turkish Mediterranean coast, in the Antalya region, about 15 kilometers east of the city center. This stretch of coastline is part of Kundu Bay, where the Mediterranean meets a succession of fine sandy beaches lined with umbrella pines and modern tourist developments. The shore, facing south-southeast, benefits from direct exposure to the crystal-clear waters of the Eastern Mediterranean. The beach itself is distinguished by its clearly municipal character, away from the commercial bustle of neighboring resorts. 700 meters to the east is Saturn Beach, more frequented by hotel guests; 900 meters to the west, Kundu Plajı attracts a denser crowd. Aksu Belediyesi Halk Plajı remains quieter, with direct access from the coastal road and a profile of local visitors and Antalya families seeking a no-frills day out. The sand, fine and slightly golden, gradually extends towards stable sandy bottoms, suitable for swimming. This municipal beach operates without official supervision or formalized facilities. It is not Blue Flag certified. Access remains basic: no dedicated parking is reported, no public showers or toilets are documented. In the immediate vicinity, a water park (400 meters) and another aquatic complex (800 meters) offer complementary activities for visitors seeking structured entertainment.

About this spot

Aksu, whose name means "white water" in Turkish, refers to the coastal streams that once fed this region before urban development. The coast of Antalya, ancient Attalia founded by Attalus II of Pergamon in the 2nd century BC, has retained its role as a Mediterranean crossroads. Since the 1980s, the Kundu area has transformed into a major seaside destination, with the emergence of public beaches managed by local municipalities to offer free access to residents. Aksu Belediyesi Halk Plajı embodies this commitment: a beach for the people, unpretentious, where Antalya families come to escape the mass tourism industry that dominates the neighboring coastline.
