Platja de les Salines extends along the coast of Castellón, in the Valencian Community, about 15 km south of Benicàssim. This portion of the Mediterranean coastline is characterized by a succession of small coves and shallow beaches, protected by rock formations that fragment the coastline. The region, historically marked by salt exploitation (hence the beach's name), retains a sparsely populated coastal landscape, where pine forests sometimes descend to the water's edge. The beach itself is distinguished by its relative intimacy within a coastal area densely dotted with small bathing areas. Cala del Fondo de Bola, 0.8 km away, offers a more confined and rocky character, while Platja d'Aiguadoliva, 1.3 km away, offers a more open configuration.
