Paşalar Beach extends along the Black Sea coast in the Bolu region of Turkey, about 200 kilometers east of Istanbul. The surrounding coastline is characterized by a succession of small beaches and coves, where pine forests descend to the shore. The sea here retains the grey-green hues typical of the Black Sea, with generally shallow depths and a gradual bathymetry. This part of the coast is part of a string of modest seaside resorts, far from the major tourist centers of southern Turkey. The beach itself is part of a very compact ensemble: TR-BLK Beach is only 100 meters away, while Karaburun Beach is 800 meters to the northwest. Kalkın Beach, 1.6 kilometers away, completes this trio of coastal beaches. Access to Paşalar Beach is without official supervision, and the site remains little developed, reflecting the authentic character of Turkish Black Sea beaches. Visitors find a quiet space, far from standardized facilities, where swimming remains the main activity. No supervision services are provided on the beach. Accessibility for people with reduced mobility is not guaranteed. Facilities such as toilets, parking, or showers are not documented. The beach does not have the Blue Flag label.
Paşalar derives its name from the Turkish "paşa," an Ottoman honorary title, and "lar," a plural suffix. The Bolu region, historically a crossroads between Asia Minor and the Balkans, retains traces of this cultural stratification. The beaches of the Turkish Black Sea, less famous than those of the Mediterranean, have attracted local clientele seeking summer relaxation since the 1970s. Paşalar Beach exemplifies this tradition: an unpretentious seaside resort, frequented by families from Istanbul and Bolu, it remains a refuge for those fleeing the tourist bustle of the southern coasts.
