Located on Algeria's northern coast approximately 25 kilometers southwest of central Algiers, this beach sits within the densely developed coastal sector of Algiers Bay. The shoreline, facing northeast, benefits from direct exposure to the Mediterranean and forms part of a chain of residential and tourist beaches that characterize this stretch of coastline. The beach's hinterland is marked by hotel structures and leisure complexes, typical of the peri-urban coastal zones that have developed in Algeria since the 1980s. The resort beach occupies an intermediate position within this linear succession of seaside sites. It lies 0.8 kilometers from CRF MDN Beach and Champ de Tir Beach, and 1.7 kilometers from Zeralda Beach, one of the region's major tourist hubs. The area draws regular visitors from both the local population and day-trippers from Algiers, particularly during summer months. The atmosphere remains that of a neighborhood beach—unpretentious and without international resort aspirations—where Algerian coastal life unfolds according to distinct seasonal rhythms. Access is free, with no official lifeguard infrastructure or sea rescue equipment. No amenities are documented, including toilets, showers, or parking. The beach does not hold Blue Flag certification. Accessibility for people with reduced mobility has not been developed. Pet policies are not specified.
The name "resort beach" reflects the recent history of this Algerian coastline: since independence in 1962, the state has progressively built seaside facilities designed for the urban middle class and public sector professionals. These complexes, often managed by state-affiliated organizations or cooperatives, embodied a planned vision of coastal tourism. The Mediterranean here, relatively calm thanks to the natural shelter provided by Algiers Bay, has long drawn Algerian families seeking summer respite from urban heat. The Zeralda sector and its surroundings, of which this beach is part, remains a focal point for contemporary Algerian beach practices—less internationalized than eastern resort towns but deeply rooted in the leisure habits of the Algiers region.
