Non Stop beach

Non Stop beach stretches along the Black Sea coast in the Bithynia-Thrace region (TR-BLK), in northern Turkey. Located about 20 km east of Istanbul, this beach is part of a string of small shores dotting the rugged coastline of this region, characterized by wooded cliffs and sheltered coves. The Black Sea, less agitated than the Mediterranean, gives these waters a distinct gray-green hue, particularly visible during the winter months. Backed by a dense coastal environment, Non Stop beach is distinguished by its immediate proximity to Bamboo Beach (400 m), a neighboring spot with a more established charm. At 700 m and 900 m, two other beaches with the generic name "Plage TR-BLK" complete the local bathing offer. The shore, less frequented compared to Istanbul's urban beaches, retains a quiet character, far from mass tourist flows. Access remains simple, although the absence of major facilities gives the site a raw and understated atmosphere. This beach is not awarded the Blue Flag, has no official supervision, and lacks accessibility for people with reduced mobility. No major infrastructure (parking, toilets, showers, dining) is reported. Visitors should anticipate their needs and bring the necessary equipment before arriving on site.

About this spot

The name "Non Stop" likely evokes summer crowds or a reference to a defunct local establishment. This portion of the Turkish Black Sea coast, historically less developed than the Aegean shores, has long served as a refuge for fishermen and residents of coastal villages. Since the 2000s, the progressive urbanization around Istanbul has transformed these small coves into weekend destinations for Istanbul residents seeking escape. Non Stop beach embodies this transition: neither entirely wild nor truly developed, it remains a reflection of a changing Turkish coast.
